Review of Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City #1) by Penny Reid

Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City #1) by Penny Reid

Review: I was super excited to get my hands on this book mostly because I have been binge-ing the Winston Brothers series also by Penny Reid.

Anyway I got this book in my birthday book haul! Yay me!

But back to the book… This was a really fun and cute read, although lacking in actual substance. I also notice that there was a giant lack of any or at all descriptions of  sex. This was puzzling because the book seems to be building up to the point of sex (really good sex too) and then just a weird mime of it kind of at the end. I felt very confused, but sex is not a big thing in books to me. But when a book is labeled adult romance, you would think that there would be more then what was actually given. I also did not see all that much of character growth for our leading lady.

SummaryThere are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn’t know how to knit.

After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can’t help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can’t afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn- the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies- to make her an offer she can’t refuse.
