The Prince (A Wicked Trilogy #3.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Review: I was very excited to get a review copy of The Prince, as most of you know, I’m a huge fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s writing. I also really love the Wicked series and have been feeling a little unfulfilled since the end of the series. But getting into The Prince was hard, it starts of with a big dramatic moment then slows down a lot. Though the story plot does pick up with the chemistry going on between the Prince and Brighton, it does take a bit to get into the story.
I liked getting to know Brighton and the Prince apart from Ivy’s point of view, but’s I still wish there was more information on both of these new-ish characters. I mean Brighton and the Prince could have had their own trilogy, because I want so much more of them!
One of the biggest things that needs to be talked about is the sizzle, my goodness it was crazy hot between Brighton and the Prince. Armentrout goes even further in writing these sexy times between these two, probably some of the hottest she has written in a while (*cough* *cough*Seth and Josie). Although you will be left yelling your lungs out at the end of the novella, saying “that can’t be the end!”
Other then the shortness and cliff hanger at the end, which is beautifully bittersweet. There was one part that took away from the story for me, the misplacement of details. There was one section where Brighton randomly goes to a specific book (journal) in her home and goes to the exact page that relates to what is happening real time. There was no lead up to this discovery, no explanation of her having read the book before and thinking that what’s was in it could relate to whats going on. The details that should have been the lead up to this discovery comes about two to three chapters later, when it’s less needed.
Overall I can’t wait till the continuation of The Prince, I can’t believe we have to wait till next summer!!!
He was hungry… he was hungry for me.
Because I saw you smile once and it was like the sun finally rising.
So, sunshine, you better fake it till you make it.
I was wondering if… you could fall in love with just one kiss?
Would I? Buy the physical copy of The Prince? Yes please. Tell others to read this book and series. Oh yes.
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
