Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul #1) by C.L. Wilson

Review: Okay the only reason I even read C.L. Wilson now is because of Nose Graze (HERE), I think has given some of the rave-st reviews of her books. Since reading her posts on them I knew I had to check them out myself.

Anyway, after reading one of her books I knew that I had to find her older series and check it out. Now here we are.

This book was such a great read that I think it only took me about two days to read it cover to cover. I was just hooked on chapter one. I knew by the middle of the book I would have to try and find the rest of the books right away.

But the fantasy and complex story plot/characters was mind blowing. I just got so sucked up into it, and that was the only thing I could think of for the next coming week.

I would say the only bad thing is that the whole story is spanned across five books instead of being different characters in each book. I’m only saying this because in her newer series its like a whole series in one book with one couple. Then in the next book in the series its another couple (but everything is all cleared up for that one couple in that one book).

Other than that, the book was so great (and steamy). I cannot wait to dig right into the next one!

Once he drove back the darkness.
Once he loved with such passion his name was legend.

Once, driven wild with grief over the murder of his beloved, the majestic Fey King Rain Tairen Soul had laid waste to the world before vanishing into the Fading Lands. Now, a thousand years later, a new threat draws him back into the world—and a new love reawakens the heart he thought long dead.

Ellysetta, a woodcarver’s daughter, calls to Rain in a way no other ever had. Mysterious and magical, her soul beckons him with a compelling, seductive song—and no matter the cost, the wildness in his blood will not be denied.

As an ancient, familiar evil regains its strength, causing centuries-old alliances to crumble and threatening doom for Rain and his people… he must claim his truemate to embrace the destiny woven for them both in the mists of time.
